NEET Counselling 2016 also known as NEET was conducted on 24 July, 2016. As the result has been declared the counselling process will take place now. All the candidates whose names have been mentioned in merit list are eligible for counselling. As counselling is considered a very important step, One needs to be well informed about it.
The registration and choice filling process goes on for four days from 22nd August,2016 to 25th August 2016. The first step that a candidate is supposed to follow is the registration for counselling. Candidate need to go to the MCC counselling website i.e. mcc.nic.in.
How to new registration
Go to UG medical counselling option and click on new registration. To register, a candidate is need to fill the Roll Number, Application Number, candidate’s name, & Date of Birth exactly same as per his/her AIPMT application form. Candidate is required to update his/her complete mailing address. Be very careful while filling the details. In case of any mismatch of details he/she would not be allowed to access the online counselling website. Candidate needs to save the password with him/her as it will be needed in future for completion of counselling process. After filling the details candidate can click on submit button. After the details are verified and confirmed, candidate would not be allowed to modify any data. At last a registration slip will be generated which could be taken as printout by candidate for record purpose.

The second step is to fill choices. By clicking on “click here to login”, a candidate can login with the roll and password . After login, click on the “choices available” and the list of colleges that candidate are eligible for will be displayed on screen. After that, candidate need to select choice filling option and choose the colleges as per his/her priority by clicking on the PLUS icon that would display on the right side basket. The colleges that you will choose would keep moving from left side basket to right side basket. Candidate can modify, delete, and change order as many times as required during this period only as once candidate has locked the choices, he/she would not be able to make any change. After locking, candidate can take a printout of locked choices, which includes locking date & time, IP address of computer and system generated Unique No.
Seat allotment Process Details
The seat allotment process two rounds.
The first round of seat allotment will take place on 27th August 2016. Its result will get publish on 28th August, 2016 on official. Selected candidates need to report to the respective allotted colleges between 29th August,2016 and of 3rd September, 2016.
After the first round, remaining candidates have two days to lock the choices for 2nd round of allotment for counselling. Process of seat allotment for 2nd round will take place on 11th September, 2016 and result will be published on 12th September, 2016 on official website. Candidates who will allotted seats in 2nd round. The candidate need to report to the respective colleges between 13th September and 20th September (up to 5.00 PM). This is the last and final step of counselling process for getting admission in colleges through NEET, 2016.
